Profile of Lynne Hartley-Bennett
I have been involved with dogs all my life and Australian Silky Terriers for over 35 years having produced or owned 33 Champions, including several overseas champions with their progeny gaining their titles and producing their own champions.
Over these years, this small kennel has attained over 180 in group or in show awards.
This has included several Best in Group winners including the Best in Group at Adelaide Royal Show in 1991, Australian Champion Dulcannina Marni, with his son champion Dulcannina Hi Flyer best in group and best in show winner and his grandson attained his title in ten shows being a multiple group winner including this years Autumn International show group 4 Saturday, group 3 Sunday and runner up in show at the Toy Dog Club under a Toy specialist Ms Patricia Nicholson (New Zealand).
Not only have I had silkies for over 35 years, I was also a past foundation member of The Toy Dog Club Of SA, and was editor and secretary of this club. I am a past memember and secretary of the Terrier Club of SA running successful shows for this club for a number of years.
I am a member on and of the SACA catering committee for many years. I have retired now from catering to enjoy my dogs & their successes.
I am currently a life member of Marion Kennel club as well as Vice President of this club.
I am a licensed dog judge for Toys, Terriers, Working Dogs, Non Sporting, having judged in South Australia, New South Wales, Western Australia, Victoria, Tasmania, Queensland, and New Zealand & have just completed 7 judging asignments from the 14/5/2002 to the 10/6/2002 in Sweden at Gothenberg, Krompfors, Karlstad and Best in Show at Hasselholm.
I would like to congratulate Gun Ortblad and Conny Hansson on Australian/Swedish/Danish Champion Judytoo Tee Jay on his fourth best veteran in show win.
I would also like to congratulate Jean and Paddie Crowe on the success of New Zealand Champion Judytoo Kiss N Tell and her progeny.
Congratulations to Donna & Dieter Jacobsen, Canada for winning third straight show to gain a Canadian Championship with BOB and Group 2nd over multi BIS winners.
